One of my favorite new authors, Jonathan Dodson, recently released a new book entitled Unbelievable Gospel. Besides having a great first name, he is a fantastic writer. His first book, Gospel-Centered Discipleship, was one of my favorites from 2012. When I read the introduction to Unbelievable Gospel, I was hooked. It’s a short book (only 80 pages) and cheap as well (you can get it on Amazon for just $8) and I highly recommend it. Anyway, here is the intro. When you finish reading this, go buy the book and put some food on his table.

This past Saturday night while much of America was watching the 49ers destroy the Packers, several millon of us were watching the Miss America pageant (Beth made me watch–that’s my story). While it was another successful installment of the prestigious...

As I began my walk through the New Testament this year, the first reading was, quite obviously, from Matthew 1. I was struck anew with a sense of awe as I read it and the words came to life for me like never before. Just last month, my wife and I had our third child...
