We’ve hit the point of the season where you’re either in form or you’re not. Contenders and pretenders are being separated now, and we’re just a few weeks away from the first playoff poll of the season. On to the recap…

While I don’t completely understand what Adidas is trying to do with the U’s uniforms, this is my uniform of the weekend:

And these helmets from Arizona State (who had a HUGE win over UCLA) are awful, regardless of what Nate_ASU says:

When Saturday started, I thought it could be prime for upsets. There were a few, but the close calls were the big stories. Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan State struggled with decent opponents. Others struggled with doormats…

Speaking of separating contenders from pretenders…

There were a few big hits this week, and the kickers even got in the act:

Another big story this weekend was the weather on the East Coast.

But who needs to be there when you can be at home with 5 games on TV?

Or when someone thinks October is a good time to get married:

A few miscellaneous items before getting to the two big games in our part of the country.

1 – Baylor highlight of the week just for Russ Rankin

2 – Dancing in the B1G…sigh…

3 – The B1G…where the crowds, well, aren’t…

4 – Oh, Kansas…

5 – Best ESPN GameDay sign…

6 – Band members…sigh

7 – Yeah…my top 25 would be similar.

8 – Weekly Leonard Fournette Heisman Update:

9 – Big crowd at Azusa Pacific…

10 – This doesn’t seem legal

Now, the big games. Alabama—Georgia and Clemson—Notre Dame.

First, Georgia was dumb.

So Saban went all…

By the time Georgia had buckled their chin straps…

This…

Had turned to this…

And IT GOT WORSE…

Georgia'd.

And the nightcap, which was only awesome because of the postgame production issue.

And finally, because you don’t see six guys dressed as Dolphins enough, anymore…
