For fans of the British drama Downton Abbey, the past eight months have been filled with anticipation for the next installment of Downton Abbey. The wait ends Sunday with the season premiere of Downton Abbey on PBS (check local listings for time).
Here is the trailer for season three.
It is interesting to note that while the series has already aired in the UK, spoilers for the season have not made themselves too prevalent across the pond in the US. I’m sure one could easily find spoilers online, but what’s the fun in that?
Finally, I can’t help but wonder what the appeal of Downton Abbey could be attributed to here in the States. Is it the connivery? The love stories? The lust for money? The accents?
This is something I need to explore more. But for now, if you are a devoted watcher of the show, what is its most appealing characteristic to you?
