Today marks the release of Andrew Peterson’s latest album “Light for the Lost Boy.” I’ve been a fan of his ever since I bought his “Carried Along” album more than a decade ago.

Over the years, Peterson has produced some of the most well-written lyrics and music in the Christian genre. I’ve long thought he was greatly under appreciated for his brilliance until I moved to Nashville. Simply put, he is a musician’s musician. The people in this city absolutely love his work. Whether it is his wildly popular children’s novels, his music, or his annual Christmas show at the Ryman, Andrew Peterson is deeply loved and appreciated by his peers.

Speaking of the Christmas show, his “Behold the Lamb of God” album is quite possibly the best Christmas album ever made. It’s a favorite of mine not just at Christmas but the whole year round. If you do not have it, get it today.

All in all, I’m excited about the next musical chapter from Andrew Peterson. I hope you are as well.

Here are a pair of videos about the new album. The first is a quick interview, and the second is the video for the single “Rest Easy.”
